Acrylic Paint and UV Pigment on Rag Cotton Paper. A3. Sister piece to follow.
Looking at achieving detail on the Rag Cotton, I wanted to see if the paper could be pushed beyond blockwork and linework. I can categorically say it might be possible, but I won’t be trying. It is as if the paper dries the paint almost instantly. But it’s not dry! It just won’t blend.
So, I now have a scary, anatomically correct, heart painting – A3 – which looks like it’s still pumping blood. That was not intended, and isn’t what’s being represented! If that’s what you see, that’s on you 😁.
